Job Title: 3D artists for a growing studio - Company: Location: los angeles, CA Description: We create still and motion graphics for agencies and photographers, and we need a couple of 3D artists to expand our LA studio. We're looking for full-time artists with an excellent eye for design and a passion for lighting, to create high-end CGI photography and visuals for the world's top agencies and brands. 3D Artist requirements: 3-5 years or equivalent experience using Maya, with examples of high-end renders. Vehicles and products a plus. A strong portfolio, with an emphasis on lighting. A solid eye for design, composition, color and shape. Modeling in Polys, Sub-Ds and NURBS, being able to convert between types and troubleshoot issues. Strong ability to light in 3D, matching art direction or photographs. Capable of working on schedule and budget. Comfortable producing high quality, 5k-15k renders for print and HD broadcast. Strong ability to render layers with material masks. Self starter, able to perform well with or without instruction. Able to handle any CG related needs that may arise in the studio. Good communication skills and a positive and helpful outlook. Must be able to perform in a fast paced studio environment. Advanced knowledge in Photoshop. ? Advanced knowledge in 3D Studio Max, Maya, or equivalent 3D program. ? Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a self-directed manner and to make timely, well-thought out decisions. ? Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work closely with Artists, Designers and Programmers. PREFERRED ? Production experience with PS3, XBOX 360, and/or PC a plus. ? Proven industry experience as a level or lighting artist on at least one AAA title. ? Bachelors Degree in Art from a competitive program. ? Familiar with streaming engines and advanced shaders. ? REQUIREMENTS: Expert-level skills in 2D graphics and layout design. With familiarity in FLASH, aftereffects, and other software used to prototype out front-end and HUD designs.
