Job Title: Illustrator for Children's book Company: Location: Los Angeles, CA Description: I am looking for someone to illustrate my children's/gag gift book. I will need 13 line illustrations, and a full color cover. I have worked with a previous illustrator and I liked his style so I would like someone to produce something similiar. I will consider other styles if I connect with them. I would be able to pay you $500 upon completion of this project and would expect at very least 3 illustrations per week. If you make your promised delivery dates and were interested, I would want you to immediately start working on 2 other kid's book at the same rate. After that there is possibly a much larger project that could result. Please send me samples of your work. If I feel that your style would work for my project I will send you what has been done so far.The characters that you will be drawing are 10 year old boys with apples and bananas for heads as well as a 10 year old girl with a strawberry for a head. Job Title: Children?s Book Series Illustrators Needed Company: Location: Monterey, CA Description: Entertainment company is seeking illustrators for children?s books that are currently in development. There are three (3) separate series of high-quality children?s books being developed each with multiple stories in the series. Two of the series are targeted to ages 6-12 and one is targeted to ages 3-5. We are looking for talented illustrators who can bring the writer?s vision to life through colorful and well-designed pictures. !YALP Entertainment is developing children?s characters and stories that will be used for e-books, printed picture books, animation for videos and television, licensed products and theme parks. We are currently in talks with a regional park to build themed attractions based on two of the stories, which will also serve to increase the popularity and potential of these stories. Our preference is for digital illustrators that may also have animation experience, but we will also consider illustrators without digital design experience if their design style can help tell the story. The ability to create appealing and age-appropriate characters is crucial. Each book series will include people, animals, buildings, cars and nature, so it is important that the artist have the capability to meet these requirements. Compensation will be based on royalties tied to the use of your designs. Each book sold, whether it is digital or in print, results in a royalty payment. Additionally, any designs created and used for various licensed products, (such as a t-shirt) will also include a royalty payment based on sales.
