Design Coordinator

Studio Shed is looking for a Design Coordinator to join its Design team based in Louisville, CO. Self-motivated, attentive, and organized are some attributes of a successful Designer at Studio Shed. Supported by the Project Design Lead and Design Manager, the Design Coordinator will work with other highly skilled team members from sales to installers in markets across the country.

Job Description

As the liaison between our Sales, Design, and Production teams, the Design Coordinator will be responsible for supporting staff and customers from early presale stages through production and fulfillment. This team member will develop and organize design materials to achieve a balance between the customers’ vision, our Studio Shed mission, and building code compliance.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  •   Efficiently process projects between Sales, Project Designers, and Production

  •   Organize, compile, and distribute production and installation materials

  •   Manage and update design libraries to aid the Sales and Design teams in fulfilling projects

  •   Create and distribute floor plans and design submittals to secure customer and/or HOA approval

  •   Assist the customer in selecting a feasible location for their project on their site plans

  •   Update and inform customers upon milestones related to their project

  •   Create and communicate production/installation tasks for Drafter to complete

  •   Perform flexible and consistent work across multiple programs and design methods

  •   Maintain effective communication across teams and information systems within the organization

  •   Learn and know the organization and products

  •   Managing and updating libraries of details

  •   Flexible and consistent work across multiple programs and design methods

    Desired skills, knowledge, and education:

  •   Associates degree in design or drafting is preferred, but not required

  •   Working knowledge of general construction is preferred, but not required

  •   Prior design or drafting related experience preferred, but not required

  •   Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

  •   Excellent communication abilities and data entry skills are essential

  •   Research skills beneficial to troubleshoot unique issues and problems

  •   High attention to detail, and organization skills are essential
