Do you enjoy working in images, including retouching, background repair and general spot corrections? Do you have strong proficiency in Photoshop and Bridge with an eagerness to tackle new challenges? The Vermont Country Store may have just the position for you! We are currently looking to fill an Associate Image Editor position to support the production of both in-studio and on-location assets. This role will join our Advertising department and report directly to the Lead Image Editor, assisting with photo retouching for our website and contributing to the creation of The Vermont Country Store's historic catalog. Candidates who are residents of VT are eligible to enjoy a hybrid work arrangement, working onsite from our office in Manchester Center, Vermont, three days per week, and at home. All candidates must be within a commutable distance to, and available to work from, our office in Manchester Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive retouching of images, including skin retouching, blemish removal, stray hair removal, background repair, and general spotting.
  • Adjust levels and colors to ensure consistency with brand styling and product accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain digital assets by managing metadata and workflows, while adhering to existing taxonomy within the DAM system.
  • Collaborate with Image Editing team to achieve project goals and meet deadlines for print catalog and web

Who we're looking for:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Photography (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong proficiency in Photoshop and Bridge
  • Deadline-oriented with exceptional task management skills.
  • Eager to tackle new challenges with creativity.
  • Familiarity with best practices in file management.
  • Some experience with Adobe Acrobat, MS Office suite, Smartsheet (or Excel), and CaptureOne is a helpful plus.
