SUMMARY

The Marketing Creative Studio (CS) team is seeking a highly motivated and organized Graphic Designer II to join our in-house creative crew. In this position you would be responsible for the design and production work for both print and digital platforms. Position reports to the Design Lead and operates under the general direction of the Project Manager and Creative Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops and prepares creative assets for various digital platforms (Display, Paid Social, DOOH) including developing concepts, pitching to leadership, development, occasional simple animation, re-sizing, applying taxonomy, and exporting files

  • Collaborates and develops working relationship with copywriters to effectively infuse copy into design

  • Implement learnings from user data to designs to improve performance

  • Manages brand templating software including authoring new templates, editing, and archiving assets, creating design templates, and ensuring client access

  • Designs and prepares electronic files for print, using prepress industry standards for file setup; occasionally review print proofs for accuracy

  • Modifies and manipulates illustrations and photography for creative assets and presentations

  • Designs and produces digital graphics for inclusion in video productions

  • Provides regular project status updates via Wrike, email, and Slack

  • Attend and participate in meetings via Zoom as needed to kick off projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders

  • Creates templates using best practices in PowerPoint and other presentation software for executive and leadership presentations; gathers and implements feedback; incorporates edits

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have strong creative skills, backed by a portfolio of work demonstrating a passion for design and typography. The ideal candidate will have experience working in numerous types of design, be driven by new perspectives, and be able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Two years of relevant design experience in an agency or in-house marketing environment

  • Bachelors degree in design or related field

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Must be highly organized and able to multitask

  • Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information

  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally in in-person and remote meetings, and in writing with all levels of the organization

  • Must stay current on new techniques by doing industry reading and attending seminars

  • Must demonstrate a willingness to take and apply feedback to improve


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience creating 2D motion graphics (Adobe After Effects, Premiere, etc)

  • Experience creating HTML5 web banners (Google Web Designer, Celtra, etc)

  • Experience using project management software (Wrike, Workfront, Asana, etc)

  • Experience designing for Performance platforms

  • Illustration background

LOCATION
  • HYBRID: 3 days a week in office (commutable to Bethesda, MD or Manhattan, NY)

PORTFOLIO
  • Must provide creative portfolio link to be considered

  • Candidates with motion design examples preferred

Annual Salary

$73,800.00 - $115,825.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidates work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
