A Noise Within (ANW) produces diverse classic theatre as an essential means to enrich our community by embracing universal human experiences, expanding personal awareness, and challenging individual perspectives. Through our Redmond Stage Season, Education, and Noise Now programs, we build community through a radically inclusive approach to timeless, epic stories. About The Position

The Education Department looks forward to an exciting summer of expansion at A Noise Within's annual Summer With Shakespeare Theatre Camp - with the introduction of the Tech Track in the High School Intensive. We're seeking Teaching Artists with specializations in any of the following areas: Lighting Design, Sound Design, Set Design & Model-Making, other Technical Theatre specialties.

Programming runs from June 15 - July 17; classes will occur Monday through Friday between 11am and 5pm.

Qualifications

At least 4 years' experience as a professional theatre artist including but not limited to: designer, stage manager, technical director, crew member

At least 2 years' experience teaching in a classroom setting

Passionate about empowering learners ages 14 - 18

Productive collaborator and engaging team player

A desire to contribute to the growth of the new Tech Track by providing insight, feedback, and recommendations

Time & Transportation

Must have own transportation to travel to and from A Noise Within located at 3352 E Foothill Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107.

Must be available between June 15 - July 17, 2026.

Fees:

Teaching Artists receive a competitive hourly rate of $65 for contact hours as well as $25 for planning, training, and meeting hours.
