un Paid Studio Role - Contemporary Artist (Great for Students) (Santa Mon (Santa Monica) image 1 of 3 compensation: 18/hour Contemporary artist based in Santa Monica is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented assistant to support studio operations and ongoing projects. This is a paid, part-time role and an excellent opportunity for a student (SMC or similar) looking to gain hands-on experience inside an active artist studio. We are ideally looking for someone able to commit for approximately 6 months. Schedule: 2 days per week Approximately 5 hours per day (10 hours/week) Some flexibility in scheduling, but consistency and reliability are essential What you'll gain: Opportunity to be on set during shoots Exposure to the creative and business side of photography Ongoing portfolio feedback and guidance on your work Insight into the day-to-day of a working artist's studio Experience with studio workflow and project execution Responsibilities: Assist with studio organization and workflow Support artwork-related data and archiving Run occasional errands related to studio needs Help with research, documentation, and light admin General studio support as needed Ideal candidate: Strong attention to detail and organization Interest in photography and contemporary art High level of integrity and professionalism Reliable and follows through on commitments Comfortable with both physical and digital tasks Familiarity with Lightroom and Photoshop is a plus Comfortable using Google Docs and Sheets Details: Location: Santa Monica (home office) + occasional on-location shoots Compensation: Paid (hourly, based on experience) Preference for candidates based on the Westside or nearby Must have reliable transportation Quiet, focused environment.
