Assistant Fashion Designer

We are a wholesale women's apparel brand designing collections sold to specialty boutiques and online retailers. Our team is small, fast-moving, and deeply hands-on every person we hire materially shapes the product and the business. We're hiring an Assistant Fashion Designer to support our design team across the full product development lifecycle, from initial concept through fit, approval, and handoff to production. You'll work closely with the head designer and production teams, and you'll have meaningful ownership of tech packs, fittings, and trims and fabric sourcing on day one. In this role, you'll build and maintain detailed tech packs in Illustrator (flats, measurements, construction notes, BOMs); develop CADs, color cards, and design boards each season; source fabrics and trims and manage swatch libraries; track samples through proto, fit, SMS, and TOP stages; attend fittings and translate fit comments into clear factory follow-ups; conduct competitive shopping and trend research. The strongest candidates will have 1-3 years of design or design assistant experience at a wholesale apparel brand, an Associate's degree in Fashion Design (Bachelor's preferred), advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills, strong working knowledge of garment construction and fit, and a portfolio that shows both creative range and technical execution.
