Interior Design Project Managers & Design Assistants (Boston) InControl Services compensation: Based On Experience and Credentials employment type: experience level: mid level job title: Project Managars & Design Assistants With a minimum of 3+ years of luxury residential experience under your belt, you can take on big design challenges and project oversight. We are a boutique firm, located in Boston, Massachusetts, which provides concierge-level service for our clients' new builds, gut renovations and interior remodels. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and has at least 3 years of experience managing design projects from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities: Oversee interior design projects from initial client brief through installation Draft working drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, perspectives, and interior detailing where needed Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and designers Develop project budgets, pricing, timelines and FF&E schedules Manage procurement, deliveries, and installation logistics Ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget Problem-solve on-site issues and provide real-time solutions Maintain accurate project documentation and records Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in interior design project management Strong organizational and multitasking skills Drawing experience in CAD, Revit or Sketch Up Proficient in project management software (Design Manager is a plus) and Google Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously We are also seeking a highly organized and motivated Interior Design Assistant to support our design and procurement team. This role is ideal for someone early in their interior design career who is detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to gain hands-on experience across all phases of the design process. Key Responsibilities Assist the design team with day-to-day project coordination and administrative tasks Support product sourcing, vendor communication, and material research Help prepare client presentations, design boards, and project documentation Assist with procurement, order tracking, and logistics coordination Maintain organized project files, finish schedules, and product specifications Coordinate with vendors, workrooms, and contractors as needed Assist with site visits, installations, and project follow-up Qualifications 0-2 years of professional experience Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite preferred Experience with Design Manager or Studio Designer is a plus, but not required Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn Principals only.
