Art Director - Live Action & Brand Video Location: Hybrid onsite schedule in Cupertino, CA Schedule : 40 hours Duration: 3 months Pay: $140-$147.45 DOE The Planet Group is looking for an Art Director - Live Action & Brand Video to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 3-months contract, working a Hybrid onsite schedule in Cupertino, CA. Art Director - Live Action & Brand Video | Qualifications: 10+ years of creative experience, with time at top design, advertising, or production companies preferred. Portfolio demonstrating range across live action formats -- documentary-influenced, social-native, and brand storytelling. Experience collaborating on animation or mixed-media projects. Ability to translate business objectives into scalable creative frameworks across lines of business. Develops original concepts end-to-end -- from strategic brief through treatment, script, on-set direction, and final cut -- with strong writing across formats including shot scripts and conversational frameworks for documentary and interview-driven work. Strong visual judgment and ability to art direct shoots -- from casting and location to cinematography, lighting, and overall visual treatment. Clear communicator who serves as creative authority with production vendors, directors, and production companies. Operates fluidly between creative and strategy, from conceptual thinking to format development to execution. Comfortable in ambiguity; proactive in seeking clarity, aligning stakeholders, and managing upward. Keen awareness of visual and cultural trends across entertainment, gaming, and digital culture. Collaborative and team-first, with the organizational skills to manage multiple projects across time zones. Refined visual taste and a point of view -- brings strong aesthetic sensibility to every creative decision, from initial references to final delivery. Art Director - Live Action & Brand Video | Description: You will shape and lead video creative from concept to completion -- developing original live action, short-form, documentary-influenced, and social-native content. You'll work cross-functionally, collaborating with and empowering in-house and third-party teams to deliver video that resonates on a human level. This role calls for a self-starter who can manage work streams, lead conceptual development, and execute against a range of creative and strategic briefs, both independently and with cross-functional partners. You'll work closely with producers and partner teams to concept, develop, and deliver editorial video that captures authentic stories, behavior, and emotion. A key part of this role is translating creative vision into production reality, communicating clearly to vendors and partners, and holding that vision through post.
