The Associate Digital Designer is responsible for creating bold, innovative digital designs for a vast array of housewares brands, working directly with the design, copy, and e-commerce teams to develop content (A+ pages, infographics, brand store pages) for Amazon.com and other online retailers.The ideal candidate has:
2-5 years experience creating e-commerce projects and an understanding of the crucial design elements that make products pop among their competitors.The ability to multitask, exceptional attention to detail, a keen sense of organization, and dedication to meeting continuous deadlines are also crucial to the role.
The position is currently hybrid, with 2 days, ability work both in the office onsite in Garden City, NY and from home as needed. .Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow direction in briefs to create exciting, attention-grabbing assets for e-commerce pagesDevelop seamless responsive e-commerce presentations that easily translate from desktop to tablet to mobile platformsExtensive Photoshopping of lifestyle images, including color correcting, inserting products into existing scenes, and moreEnsure designs follow brand style guidelines, with the agility to switch vision to conform to the unique and individual spirit of multiple housewares brandsCollaborate continuously with digital design director, VP of creative services, category managers, the e-commerce team, copywriters, and proofreadersProduce several versions of designs for review for a number of teams, with the grace to handle criticism from various levels of reviewers constructively and productivelyChurn out assets quickly, efficiently, and accurately; route to teams through Robohead project management platform for reviewKeep assets accessible and easily shareable in properly labeled and organized folders on sharedservers
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in digital designOutstanding portfolio showcasing extensive experience with digital assets, with a focus on e-commerceDeep understanding of design principles and current design trends and technologiesAbility to work well independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Google SuiteDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated with a positive attitude
Education: BA/BFA in Graphic Design and Media Arts
