They work on a 4 day work week, and a hybrid work schedule.This position is based in their Kalamazoo office.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our Kalamazoo team. This role is responsible for all aspects of the interior design scope of architectural projects, from early planning through construction administration.The Interior Designer will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients to develop interior environments that are functional, durable, and responsive to user needs-particularly within healthcare and educational settings.This is a salaried position offering flextime (based on a four-week cycle) and competitive compensation and benefits.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in projects from pre-design through construction administration, including Programming, Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), Construction Documents (CD), and CALead and contribute to interior programming and space planningDevelop and coordinate material selections, finish palettes, and color schemesPrepare interior specifications and documentationAssist with furniture, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E) planning and specificationCoordinate interior design efforts with architectural and consultant teamsEngage with clients to understand goals, needs, and operational requirementsContribute to a team-oriented studio culture focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvementPosition TraitsThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:An eagerness to learn and collaborate within a multidisciplinary teamStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsA proactive attitude with strong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesThe ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectivelyMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Interior DesignMinimum of 5 years of professional experience in interior designExperience working across all phases of architectural projectsSoftware ProficiencyFluency or working knowledge of the following software is beneficial:AutoCADRevitSketchUpBluebeamAdobe PhotoshopAdobe InDesignAdobe IllustratorIf you are interested in this opportunity, apply now!
