Summary The Videographer works with the Broadcast and Video Coordinator to create and develop multimedia content for FCS-TV and other District communications outlets, including social media. The incumbent in this position should have innovative, visual storytelling skills and know how to work both collaboratively and independently to create and edit original, dynamic and engaging videos. Essential Duties
  • Performs the entire content creation process from pre-production to post-production
  • Produces high-quality video projects consistent with District branding, mission, and vision of entities involved
  • Facilitates Audio/Visual (A/V) set-up and troubleshooting for presentations and District meetings
  • Assists in scheduling, uploading, and maintaining content for the FCS television station
  • Manages the live stream for Board meetings, pension Board meetings, and other live events
  • Organizes and monitors various projects simultaneously ensuring production schedules are met
  • Collaborates and works with teams to complete goals, projects and tasks
  • Researches and evaluates emerging technologies and provides new ideas and recommendations for enhancements and/or improvements for communication initiatives
  • Proofs A/V materials to ensure quality control
  • Covers video productions in the southern part of Fulton County primarily, but travels to various locations throughout the District on a regular basis
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator
Required Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent Certification/Licensure None required Technical Certification preferred Experience Qualifications Minimum of 3 or more years of related experience and/or training in videography, filmography or similar field required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong abilities and proficiency in ENG Videography, cinema styled production, and multi-camera field/studio production (various Sony cameras, and lenses)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic audio production and microphones including both on-camera, on-talent, and hand-held
  • Strong abilities and proficiency in MAC OS platform and Adobe Premiere and After Effects, Motion software
  • Demonstrated experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, Dropbox, and Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong ability to create motion graphics and visual effects and the ability to manipulate After Effects templates
  • Ability to conceptualize and assist in writing scripts and storyboarding
  • Ability to format and compress footage for social media, as well as for internal use
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Must be self-disciplined, with the ability to multi-task, schedule, organize, monitor and administer various projects simultaneously to meet production schedules with very tight deadlines
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to maintain professionalism with district officials, employees, school administrators, teachers, and students
  • Knowledge of Wirecast, Rush Works, and Earth Channel systems a plus
  • Broadcast Engineering knowledge a plus
  • Still photography knowledge a plus
Working Conditions
  • Normal office environment
  • Requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the District
  • Some weekends required
  • Early and late hours frequently required
