Senior Textile Artist / Textile Artist Swimwear

Seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Senior Textile Artist / Textile Artist to support the development of swimwear prints and textile artwork for Target swimwear programs. This role requires a strong eye for trend-driven design, the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment, and experience collaborating directly with overseas mills and production partners.The ideal candidate combines strong artistic ability with technical textile expertise, thrives under tight timelines, and is comfortable using modern digital design tools and workflows.Key Responsibilities Create original textile prints, repeats, colorways, and engineered artwork for women's swimwear collections Partner closely with the Design Director and cross-functional teams to execute seasonal print direction for Target programs Develop print concepts aligned with trend research, brand direction, and customer needs Prepare production-ready artwork and ensure accuracy of repeats, scale, and coloration Communicate directly with mills regarding print execution, strike-offs, color approvals, and technical adjustments Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining speed, accuracy, and creative quality Utilize modern textile and Adobe design tools to streamline workflow and increase efficiency Support print revisions and approvals throughout development and production stages Maintain organized digital archives of artwork, colorways, and mill-ready files Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Surface Design, or related field preferred 3+ years of experience in textile design, preferably within swimwear, apparel, or fashion Strong understanding of swimwear print development and textile production processes Experience designing for large-scale retail programs, preferably Target, is highly preferred Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator Experience with NedGraphics strongly preferred Proven ability to work with speed and adaptability in a deadline-driven environment Experience communicating directly with domestic and/or overseas mills is required Strong color sense, print layout skills, and understanding of repeat construction Excellent organizational and communication skills Preferred Skills Knowledge of current fashion and swimwear trends Ability to balance creative innovation with commercial viability Experience with digital print techniques and modern workflow systems Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities Salary $75,000-$100,000 BOE
