Environmental Graphics Designer Employer: New York, NY, US Location: Thu, May 28 '26 Posted on: $67,000 - $90,000annually Pay: Description Pentagram's New York office is seeking a full-time designer focused on environmental graphics to work on signage and exhibition design projects, to start immediately. This role will be ideal for a designer who has a minimum of 3+ years' of experience conceiving schematic design concepts, refining with client teams, preparing construction documents, and seeing them through to fabrication and implementation. We partner with brands and organizations of different sizes across various industries including higher education, cultural institutions, non-profits, tech, telecommunications, banking, law, entertainment, consumer goods, and more. An ideal candidate will be working with a wide range of clients and have the ability to balance multiple projects at once. Responsibilities Work under the Partner in collaboration with the Design Team to help develop projects from concept through implementation and support the design process at all stages Work with the Project Manager to develop project schedules, deliverables, and scopes of work Work independently through design details, lead coordination with Architects and sub-consultants, and be the day-to-day contact for clients on select projects Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment Create full design documentation drawing sets and coordinate with Fabricators through the fabrication and installation process The ability to develop sign location plans and message schedules is a plus Knowledge of ADA accessibility standards and code signage requirements is a plus Requirements Proficient in Rhino and Adobe CC Proficient in a rendering program (preferably Keyshot, C4D, and or Enscape) to generate renderings for concept presentations Strong typographic skills Knowledge of fabrication techniques and material standards Conceptual thinker and strategic designer Extreme attention to detail Experience with exhibition detailing, including casework and integration of lighting and media components 3+ years' experience in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Architecture or related discipline in a similar role Ability to travel Must be eligible to work in the US Work in-person 4 days a week in the New York office; WFH Fridays Benefits Medical, dental and vision insurance 401K plan Paid time off Parental leave On-site lunch (Monday through Thursday) WFH Fridays Estimated Base Salary Range: $67,000-90,000 Actual compensation package is dependent on work experience, education, market data, and business needs.
