Aquent is seeking a Digital Content Designer to support a leading healthcare client. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners across business, research, design, technology, marketing, legal, and compliance to deliver clear, effective, and timely information to a variety of audiences, including consumers, members, providers, employers, and agents.
Responsibilities:
- Define, create, and manage digital content, including navigation labels, prompts, instructional copy, and error messages, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and alignment with user needs and business goals.
- Develop content strategies and contribute to information architecture, content models, voice and tone guidelines, and content governance practices.
- Create content that aligns with audience needs, business objectives, user research insights, brand standards, legal and compliance requirements, accessibility best practices, and digital experience standards.
- Partner closely with UX and product teams to shape content organization, navigation structures, site maps, and information architecture.
- Simplify complex healthcare concepts into clear, concise, and contextually relevant content and taxonomies.
- Conduct content audits and inventories to identify opportunities for improving quality, consistency, compliance, and user experience.
- Use user feedback, analytics, and testing insights to continuously optimize content while maintaining accessibility, compliance, and brand standards.
- Support and evolve digital content guidelines, standards, tools, and processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Design, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in content design, content strategy, UX writing, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to share work, incorporate feedback, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience creating accessible, scalable, user-centered content that drives clarity, engagement, and seamless user experiences.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups, including subject matter experts, content reviewers, editors, and legal/compliance teams.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant content design, UX writing, or content strategy work is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in highly regulated industries, such as healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other environments with legal and compliance oversight.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira.
- Experience designing content for healthcare, member, provider, or consumer-facing digital experiences.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $72.29 to $82.76 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
