Job Title: Experience Design Specialist / Service Designer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote)
Duration: 6 months+
We are seeking an experienced Experience Design Specialist with a strong background in Service Design, Experience Design, and Human-Centered Design. The ideal candidate will have expert-level Figma skills, experience within the Banking or Financial Services industry, and the ability to create intuitive, customer-focused digital experiences. This role requires close collaboration with business, product, marketing, and technology teams to design and deliver innovative customer solutions across digital platforms.
Required Qualifications3–5 years of Experience Design, Service Design, UX/UI Design, or related experience.
Advanced proficiency with Figma, including wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech environments.
Strong knowledge of Human-Centered Design and Design Thinking methodologies.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience creating customer journeys, service blueprints, wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and design documentation.
Ability to gather requirements and translate complex business needs into intuitive user experiences.
Design and deliver customer experience solutions for digital applications and websites.
Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, site maps, task flows, navigation models, and customer journey artifacts.
Lead design efforts from concept through implementation, testing, and optimization.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and experience validation activities.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, developers, and leadership to define requirements and deliver solutions.
Analyze existing experiences, industry trends, and best practices to identify improvement opportunities.
Develop innovative design solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
Support roadmap planning, project execution, quality assurance, and milestone delivery.
Manage project timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
Facilitate cross-functional discussions and build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive initiatives with minimal direction.
Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
Experience simplifying complex concepts for executive and stakeholder audiences.
Knowledge of Adobe Target, CMS platforms, and digital personalization strategies.
Experience in Marketing, Digital Product Management, Analytics, or Financial Technology.
Exposure to change management, vendor management, and application development initiatives.
Experience supporting data-driven decision making and business requirement gathering.
