Under the general direction of the IT Manager, the Graphic Designer III (GD III) is an advance journeyperson that performs the most complex graphic design projects for the CMD. The GD III is responsible for designing, producing, and managing a comprehensive range of graphic design and print production materials for the organization. The incumbent manages digital imaging projects, web and SharePoint content, print production workflows, and overall program management. Designs and produces various work products including posters, flyers, brochures, forms, charts, and newsletters while performing image scanning, importing, modification, and retouching work.
The GD III develops digital images and media for publication on public websites and intranet platforms while assisting in layout development. Interprets agency standards and prepares layouts for various printed materials, managing color correction and electronic file preparation for multi-color process printing with proper color specifications. Additionally, the incumbent manages materials procurement, schedules graphics projects for organizational events, establishes standards and templates, and oversees workflows for all print and graphics projects.
Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) hours each month. Work is typically performed in an artificially lighted and climate-controlled office.
