In the role of Marketing Graphic Designer, you will bring strong visual design skills, creativity, and attention to detail while collaborating with the Marketing and K-12 referendum teams to support clear, compelling communications. This role supports the development of visual materials that help communicate Knutson's services, projects, and values across client-facing, internal, and community platforms.

You will work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency across all visual materials. This role plays an important supporting role in ensuring Knutson's brand standards are applied consistently while helping produce engaging graphics that support marketing initiatives, community outreach, and project teams.

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Business Development & Marketing Support

  • Responsible for consistently creating high quality, cutting-edge visual assets for marketing initiatives including social media graphics, website blog headers, and digital content.
  • Develop infographics and visual storytelling elements for proposals, pursuits, and presentations.
  • Support updates and applications of Knutson's brand standards across internal and external materials.
  • Provide quality control of visual materials to ensure brand consistency and professional presentation.
  • Contribute design support for internal initiatives such as annual meeting materials, core values visuals, and internal campaigns.
  • Produce visual materials related to evolving internal initiatives and department collateral.

Client & Community Communications

  • Create graphics and layouts for client presentations, community meetings, and stakeholder engagement materials.
  • Design sector-specific collateral and leave-behind materials that support project pursuits and client education.
  • Develop visual materials supporting K-12 and municipal referendum campaign communications, including custom logos, booklets, flyers, and informational materials.
  • Coordinate with print partners to cost compare, prepare files, review proofs, and ensure high quality production.
  • Develop motion graphics elements for video content supporting marketing initiatives and client communications.

Branding & Jobsite Presence

  • Design jobsite branding materials including site fencing banners, signage, and wayfinding graphics.
  • Support the creation of environmental graphics that reinforce Knutson's brand presence on projects and in the community.

Events & Engagement

  • Design apparel graphics including t-shirts and promotional items.
  • Create visual materials for trade shows, events, and conferences including pull-up banners, backdrops, and display graphics.
  • Support marketing team members in developing visual assets that reinforce Knutson's presence at industry events.

Team Collaboration

  • Works collaboratively with marketing and business development team members to deliver high-quality design solutions that support business development and communication efforts.
  • Communicates and models the vision and values of the organization to create a sense of teamwork among employees.
  • Delivers The Knutson Experience (TKE), ensuring clients, partners, and employees feel Assured, Inspired, and Appreciated.
  • Responds to and completes all other duties, tasks, and/or projects as assigned.
  • Must be comfortable working with multiple projects on competing deadlines.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience in a marketing, agency, or in-house creative environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience developing visual layouts for print and digital formats including brochures, presentations, signage, and social media graphics.
  • Ability to develop visual identities or logos while working within established brand guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of brand standards and visual consistency across multiple platforms.
  • Experience preparing print-ready files and coordinating with vendors for production.
  • Basic knowledge of video graphics or video support (Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects or similar) preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly in writing and conversation while adapting messaging to different audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing teams, project teams, and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Graphic Design - Specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • A portfolio featuring work across various media including descriptions of process.
