General Function
Reporting to Organizational Learning & Leadership Development (OL/LD) the Studio Design Specialist supports Central Piedmont faculty and staff with the development and delivery of quality video and multimedia production using industry-based standards, accessibility laws and guidelines, quality practices in training and development, emerging technology, and innovative tools and strategies that promote student success.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains studio spaces (including OL/LD One Touch Studio, CTLE Professional Video Studio, and editing bays) and equipment, including operating procedures, scheduling, training material, and inventory.
Partners with faculty, staff, and OL/LD team members to build accessible multimedia and video-based course content for professional development programming and student-centered instruction.
Provides faculty and staff training and professional learning activities related to video production and multimedia creation.
Stays connected to the latest advancements in technology to keep multimedia and video content up to date and accessible.
Assists with maintaining quality control and continuous improvement of employee development programming to support student engagement and learning.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree and 1-2 years of experience in training and development, and/or video production.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in full scale multimedia and video production and editing
- Instructional Design/Development, Graphic Design, or Instructional Technology degree
Additional Information
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
- Familiarity with video editing software and media creation tools
- Knowledge of video production and equipment, audio, and lighting for video production
- Strong skills in effectively interacting and communicating to individuals and groups
- Ability to work collaboratively

- Ability to design and evaluate training development programs
