Our financial services clients is looking for a Graphic Designer for a 9+ month assignment, with the possibility of an extension and/or full-time conversion (40 hrs/week). Candidates be able to work onsite in Columbus, OH 5 days/week.
We are seeking a candidate who has a passion for project management and visual communications, is driven by curiosity, can balance multiple workstreams, and will deliver high-performing content in a fast-paced environment. This individual must have strong verbal and visual communication skills and be able to collaborate with team members to create materials that reflect communication objectives.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Consumer & Community Banking Communications team, the Communications Associate will provide strategic leadership for the Canva onboarding project. Primary responsibilities include:
- Manage and organize communication assets to ensure seamless integration and accessibility for the team.
- Develop self-service video and design templates using Canva to streamline communication processes and enhance efficiency.
- Coordinate with existing communicators who will serve as Canva Ambassadors, providing guidance and support to scale the program effectively.
- Implement change management strategies to facilitate the transition of the Canva pilot into full production, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum adoption.
- Train and empower staff and existing communicators, equipping them with the necessary skills to utilize Canva effectively and serve as ambassadors for the program.
- Articulate and present creative concepts clearly and concisely.
- Participate in and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
- Ensure all creative follow the firm's branding guidelines and be a thought leader around branding and design for the Consumer & Community Banking Communications team.
- Partner and collaborate across creative projects with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively across our lines of business to develop strong storyboards and effective production briefs.
- Present communication strategy and production plans to executives and business partners, with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Support a talented team of communicators in their individual and team goals, including leveraging new multimedia tools.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in communications, with a focus on project management and client relations.
- Strong communication skills, including experience in managing client relations and project management.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Canva.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) required.
- Experience with graphic design, and video editing is a plus.
- Proven organizational and project management skills - ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional environment.
- Strong design aesthetic in layout, composition, typography, and color usage.
- Very strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated, comfortable working on tight deadlines, and able to respond well to changing priorities.
- Education in Communications, or a similar experience preferred; technology or financial services experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with multimedia, digital, UX/UI, and responsive design concepts is a plus.
