As an Art Director/Website Designer, you will be instrumental in translating strategic marketing goals into compelling visual narratives. You will own the end-to-end design process, from concept to production, ensuring every touchpoint reflects a unified brand voice and values. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend art direction, graphic design, and web/UI expertise to create seamless, impactful experiences that resonate with a global audience in the education sector.

Art Director / Graphic Designer Web Design Focus

This role delivers conceptually strong, visually cohesive, and strategically aligned design across web, interactive and print channels for companys Education Technology (ET). The center of gravity is web/UIdesigning
intuitive, engaging, accessible web experiences and maintaining strong design systemswhile also leading art direction and execution for key marketing deliverables that support campaigns and brand storytelling. This is a very tactical role, whre you will be art directing and designing failty independently. The role is onsite in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities
1) Web/UI design and user experience (primary focus)
Design visually compelling, responsive, user-friendly layouts for websites and digital interfaces
Translate wireframes and user flows into polished web/UI designs for desktop and mobile
Apply visual hierarchy, typography, and color theory to improve clarity and engagement
Ensure accessibility (WCAG), usability, and alignment with ET brand standards and best practices
Create and maintain design systems, component libraries, and templates for consistency across experiences
Partner with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and design fidelity
Iterate based on user feedback, analytics, and usability testing

2) Brand identity and visual strategy (across channels)
Develop and apply consistent visual standards across creative assets to maintain a unified ET brand identity
Translate strategic marketing goals into cohesive design approaches that reflect the ET brand voice and values
Provide art direction across layout, typography, color usage, imagery, and interaction patterns
Apply user-centered design processes and best practices to concepts, layouts, storyboards, wireframes, and site navigation
Confer with internal clients to determine objectives, constraints, and the best approach to the work

3) Multichannel marketing communications
Design and support execution of marketing materials, including:
o Web and multimedia content design
o Email campaigns
o Social media assets
o Promotional giveaways
o Internal and external PowerPoint presentations
o Brand-aligned photography and video assets
o Brochures, catalogs, and promotional literature
o Print and digital advertisements
o Retail point-of-purchase displays
o Event materials such as exhibit graphics and signage

4) Cross-functional collaboration and creative execution
Work collaboratively with copywriters, marketing program managers, project managers, developers, and external vendors to deliver high-quality creative on time
Contribute to brainstorming and concept development sessions to align visual messaging with marketing strategy and goals

5) Quality control and execution

Review deliverables for accuracy, brand consistency, accessibility considerations (where relevant), and production readiness
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creative vision with schedule and resource constraints
Independently manage time, workload, and deadlines to ensure on-time delivery across concurrent workstreams
Maintain strong attention to detail in both digital and print production processes

Qualifications
4- 5+ years of experience delivering strong visual design across digital and print mediums (web/UI emphasis)
Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality visual execution and responsive web design
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (esp Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD), Figma
Solid understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end constraints/best-practices; able to collaborate effectively with developers
Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Proven ability to independently manage time, workload, and deadlines while juggling multiple projects at once
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently
Professional written and interpersonal skills
Continued education and research into web design trends and current design strategy and technology
Photography (capture), photo-editing, retouching

Nice to have
Experience designing for K12, higher ed, or corporate learning environments
Understanding of instructional design or learning science
Motion design or micro-interaction skills
Localization and multilingual UI considerations
Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and site mapping
