Hours per week: Up to 40 hours (less when starting project-based)
Hybrid Requirement: Remote for project-based work but hybrid 2 days per week in Dedham when your schedule ramps up
Compensation: $35-$37 per hour; if converted, estimated salary range of $70,000-$75,000 + Benefits
Job Description
Our client, a well-known retail brand located in the Boston area, is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their creative team. This role will begin on a freelance, project-based basis, with the opportunity to become ongoing or convert to a permanent position for the right candidate. They are looking for a highly skilled Graphic Designer who can balance creative concepting with strong production execution. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys developing ideas and bringing them to life across a wide range of digital and physical channels. Candidates need to not only be proficient in the Creative Suite but also Figma.
Responsibilities
Concept and design marketing assets across digital channels, including display ads, email designs, animated GIFs, and other digital deliverables.
Create visually engaging ecommerce layouts and landing pages using Figma and Photoshop.
Design signage and branded assets using Illustrator for various projects and environments.
Balance conceptual creative work with production-focused execution to ensure designs are engaging, scalable, and on-brand.
Collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and cross-functional teams from concept through final delivery.
Maintain brand consistency while pushing creative boundaries when appropriate.
Qualifications
Strong graphic design fundamentals with a keen eye for layout, typography, color, and detail.
Proven ability to manage both creative ideation and high-volume production work.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma.
Experience designing for digital marketing and ecommerce environments.
Self-motivated, dependable, and highly organized with a strong sense of ownership.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience creating animated assets (GIFs or basic motion) is a plus.
Understanding of digital performance best practices for emails, ads, and landing pages.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
