Interior Designer

Provides advanced interior design services supporting VA healthcare construction, renovation, and space optimization projects. Ensures all designs meet clinical functionality, patient safety, and federal compliance standards.

• Develop complete interior design packages (plans, specs, finish schedules)
• Interpret construction drawings and coordinate with A/E teams
• Ensure compliance with VA design guides, ADA, NFPA, and life safety codes
• Conduct site surveys, field verification, and user coordination meetings
• Specify furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) aligned with clinical use
• Support project execution, submittals, and construction phases

• Bachelors in Interior Design or related field
• 5+ years experience (healthcare or federal preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and design documentation
